Description

Redefining Love, written and directed by Aurora Masum-Javed (poet)
A one-woman show about family, trauma, romance, and identity. In the struggle to define love for herself, Aurora navigates all the learned behaviors and definitions she encountered growing up as a Bengali American daughter to a single mother. It is a story about the journey we take to become who have always been. It is a story about finding in ourselves what we have always sought in another.

Awkward by Dedunu Sylvia (poet)
Ever tried talking about dating and relationship life with your amma? Or about reproductive health? "Awkward" is a series of spoken-word explorations of the serious to funny, to just plain awkward. Breaking down the American-Born-Confused-Desi.

Bed Bugs and Hot Pockets
A short dramedy play written and directed by Shonali Bhowmik. In a society that depends on technology, outsourcing and mass surveillance, jobs at CVS have disappeared. Bill has worked at CVS for years and is the last employee standing. Connie, a CVS customer, regularly stops by the store just to shoot the shit with Bill. On this day their conversation comes to an abrupt halt.
